    As salamu ‘alaykum! 😀

I love all of Fareesa’s dolls, they’re all so unique and beautiful in their own way. I love the fact that they come in different skin complexions and that she makes both male and female dolls! I also love that these dolls can teach prayer and other Islam related lessons to young children! My favourite doll is a tie between the floral print skirt doll (I’m a sucker for floral prints!!) and the drummer girl doll. I love them all MashaAllah! I hope to order some one day insha’Allah when I can afford a few and get a stable job!

I would love these for my nephews, nieces and for the students that I teach! I’m a big believer in reading and doing read-alouds with children and I think with the drummer girl prop, it’ll make the story that much great and lovely to follow along to!

Best of luck to all contestants! xx

  • Reply Mehrunnisa Kamili June 15, 2017 at 4:15 pm

The drummer girl is definitely a marriage and a celebration of womanhood, badassery, and beats . What a wonderful addition to the somewhat disappointing collection of tools and toys for girls (and boys!) empowerment. No to barbies and yes to more drummer girls!

    • Reply Mamanushka June 20, 2017 at 8:45 am

♥️ Love this! Thank you Mehrunnisa!

When I showed my 5 year old the picture of the Drummer Girl doll she knew who it was right away and now even a few hours later is asking if she can have the doll for Eid! Salam, what a wonderful giveaway to mark a year of my favourite blog! I am trying my best to get hold of the book for my niece (and myself) and echo what Naz said about hoping Fareesa has to make more to sell for all of us who may be disappointed by not winning. Mine and my nieces’ favourite doll is the one with the geometric skirt because she loves maths and drawing. Good luck to everyone and congratulation on your first year. Best wishes, S.

  • Reply S Khalid June 10, 2017 at 10:56 am

    Salaam,

I love the Drummer Girl doll, and also the boy doll with glasses. Because I have a little boy with glasses myself, who I’m trying to raise to be a caring man/father iA. So far (I hope it sticks, iA), he loves taking care of his doll baby dressed in pink, just as much as he loves taking care of his transformers-inspired robot. Both are brought over to me for hugs & kisses in the event they fall down or get knocked over. 🙂

We have been following Hiba Masud since forever and are so excited about her book that this character already holds a very special place in our hearts. Hope she can become a permanent in the collection!

Thank you all so much for your kind compliments! I am so honored to work with such amazing women. I love working with each client, picking out fabrics and always surprising them with extra detail, like an accessory on the hijab. Every doll is unique in its own way!

Making the Drummer Girl was extra special! One, because it represents strong women everywhere. You can do anything if you set your mind to it! And two, it was a new challenge. I love how it came out!

Thank you all again and Good luck to the lucky winner! Ramadan Mubarak!!

MashAllah Fareesa is so creative!! Her dolls look very serene and innocent 😇. Perfect for little girls. Dolls in shops these days don’t seem appropriate for little girls anymore. Too much eye shadows and make up like a party going girl. It’s amazing how Fareesa comes up with such decent looking yet chic dolls. I hope she never stops making them for our little ones.

  • Reply Anisa June 9, 2017 at 9:35 pm

The dolls are so cute, Masha’Allah. Purple is my favorite so I’ll say the one with purple hijab and purple/blue Paisley skirt I my favorite.

  • Reply Estelle June 9, 2017 at 9:32 pm

I subscribed but there is a problem when I tried (several times) to confirm my subscription. It said “failed”. So could you please let me know if I am subscribed or not? If not, how can I do?

  • Reply Naz June 9, 2017 at 9:31 pm

MashaAllah a beautiful giveaway. We have been working with Drummer Girl for most of Ramadan. We learned to make cardamom tea, how to make and string fanoos lights and just about to sew a red skirt. My daughters’ are on the hunt to find a green scarf to match it. All of Fareesa’s dolls are so cute. We really like the purple one with florals on her skirt sitting on the steps on Fareesa’s Facebook page because it looks the most like them! Hoping this turns into wonderful growth and that Fareesa can make more Drummer Girls so we can buy one if we don’t win the giveaway! 🙂

    • Reply Mamanushka June 9, 2017 at 10:04 pm

This is adorable what lovely lessons to make from the book! Lucky girls and blessed mama Mashallah! ♥️

  • Reply Estelle June 9, 2017 at 9:28 pm

Asalamu alaikum, being the mother of a wonderful little 2 years old, my favorite dolls are the little muslimin boys who are in thobes and making salat which I noticed on her Instagram. I especially like the expression of contentment and happiness their eyes are expressing. Please let me add that I would be delighted to win this giveaway because I enjoy doing story time for my son and other children in my community. What a treat it would be to have this story added to my repertoire with the sweet addition of the dolly to tell the story ! Wa salam

  • Reply Filza June 9, 2017 at 9:05 pm

Ma sha Allah what a beautiful and very unique doll. All of Fareesa’s dolls are a delight but the dolly with a red hijab and sparkly outfit caught my eye. Her lovely blue outfit reminded me of Eid and special times.

  • Reply Artina June 9, 2017 at 8:53 pm
